Cape Town, South Africa: The Training Room Online is on a strategic mission to realise their vision of empowering people with infinite access to quality education. To achieve this goal, Kirsty Chadwick (Group CEO), has attracted several key players to form an aggregated EdTech (Educational Technology) organisation with a focus on the development of Human Capital.

To this end TTRO has executed a strategic B-BBEE transaction with Powerhouse Africa acquiring an equity stake. New Director to the board, Lionel Jacobs (Chairman of PowerHouse Africa Asset Management (Pty) Ltd), “We are extremely excited by the recently concluded partnership with The Training Room Online. As an Asset Management Company focusing on ‘impact investing’ throughout Sub Saharan Africa, we see TTRO as an important strategic fit for our business with the common goal and aspirations of improving people’s lives across the continent through the provision of accessible quality education. We look forward to working with Kirsty and her team on their vision and aspirations as a key market driver in providing innovative education solutions in Africa”.

TTRO has also formed a notable strategic partnership with African Capital Investments (ACI) to forge key relationships with local business and Government in Sub-Saharan Africa. ACI’s significant network and corporate finance expertise will fast-track TTRO’s efforts in business development and unlock strategic markets and opportunities across the continent. Rob Hersov, founder and chairman of ACI and Invest Africa says: “Education is the greatest gift we can give our children and the next generation – ongoing training is a lifetime activity. Africa will grow into its potential with companies like TTRO leading the way – I am proud to be part of this dynamic and innovative platform, which is changing the world for the better, one young person at a time”.

In support of this growth strategy TTRO has now concluded the strategic acquisitions of Kalleo People Group, Fuzzy Logic and Gravel Road while TTRO’s executive leadership team has strengthened significantly with the appointment of Robbie Taylor (Finalist for SA CFO of the Year 2015) as Group Chief Financial Officer and Lynne Beachy Head (former CEO of JUTA) as CEO for TTRO Sub-Saharan Africa. Says Chadwick, “With the approach of Industry 4.0, and the fast changing nature of the workplace, TTRO remains focused on creating innovative solutions to upskill people for the now and for the future. With our strategic relationships with Power House and ACI, our expanded group companies and seasoned executives we are better equipped to take on this challenge with vigour”.
